GLBS-12/24 kV Load Break Switch
1. Brief Introduction
The GLBS is a SF6 load break switch which relies on the chemical properties of SF6 for insulation and arc-quenching. It is a 12-24 kV medium voltage load break switch is designed for applications with indoor and outdoor medium voltage switchgear panels. It consists of a three position rotary switch mechanism mounted and sealed within an epoxy gas tank charged with SF6 gas. It is available as a line switch (AL or BL) or a fuse-switch (BF) with fuse-holders as well as an operating mechanism with tripping capability. Terminals connecting to cables and bus-bars can be of the cone-shaped variety for accommodating silicone bushings on the cable or bus-bar system. Motor operation is optional for the GLBS.
